The 90th Annual Meeting of the DKG (the German ceramic Society) took place from 15 to 19 March at the University of Bayreuth.
The 90th Annual Meeting of the DKG (the German ceramic Society) took place from 15 to 19 March at the University of Bayreuth. The chairman of the conference was Professor Walter Krenkel. Some new features were introduced to make participation at the annual meeting more attractive: Internationalization of the event by inviting foreign experts and by integration of the symposium on High-Performance Ceramics which was held in English, Poland was partner country and presented its latest developments and short presentations and an industrial exhibition on Additive Manufacturing has put a special focus on that up-date topic.
More than 350 ceramists coming from 17 different countries were participating at this event. 182 presentations were distributed into 33 sessions devoted to a large number of up-date topics such as energy applications, additive manufacturing, advanced processing and manufacturing technologies, etc.
The DKG annual general meeting was hold during the conference with election of the new board with Mr Joachim Heym (Schunck Group) as new president. Mr Heym presented the invited introductive conference at ECERS 14th conference at Toledo on next 22th June.
