Report on Torino 2019 Refractories Summer School

The Summer School on “Ultra refractories Thermo-structural composites Refractories” was organised by ECerS and the Politecnico di Torino, at campus Ligotto in Torino, Italy, on 14th and 15th June 2019.

There were 68 registered participants from 18 countries (China, Italy, Norway, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, Korea, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, United Kingdom, India, Austria, Germany, Poland, United States and France).

10 grants were allowed by the American Ceramic Society for travel for ACerS student members.

A presentation of ECerS and the JECS Trust was also made by Jon Binner as well as a presentation of  the Young Ceramists Network by Dominique Hautcoeur.
