European Ceramic Society

We are a non-governmental, nonprofit federation of national ceramic societies each representing the ceramists of a member country.

ECerS was established in 1987 in order to co-ordinate and promote the study of ceramics and in particular :

  • To encourage education, training and research.
  • To consult with and bring together individuals and representatives of members, research establishments, academic bodies and institutions of governments and other bodies including the Commission of the European Community.
  • To collect, disseminate and exchange information with other organizations
  • To promote planning, promotion and organization of conferences and meetings
  • To procure planning, printing, publication and circulation of technical papers,

The 49th International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC2025) will be organised by ACerS from January 26 to January 31, 2026 at Daytona Beach, Florida, USA

10/24 - Fall meeting of Korean Ceramic Society (COEX)

The fall meeting of Korean Ceramic Society (COEX) will be organised by the Korean Ceramic Society in Seoul, Korea, from 16th to 18th October 2024. An ECerS-KCerS joint Symposium will be held during the conference!

10/24 - A.SPIRE - Second Process Industry Conference – SHAPING THE TRANSFORMATION

2025 ECerS International Ceramist Student Exchange Program - 1st call!

In the frame of the 2025 ECerS International Student exchange program, ECerS is opening a first call to allow grants to European Students to attend the 49th International Conference and Expo on Advance Ceramics and Composites (ICACC) in Daytona Beach, FL or the Electronic Materials and Applications (EMA) conference in Denver, Colorado, organised respectively in January and February 2025.

Please note that the decisions of the JECS Trust board will not be known before end of February 2025. Activities submitted for the deadline of 30th November 2024 for support from the JECS Trust should then not begin before mid-March 2025.
