Young Ceramists Network
The Young Ceramists Network (YCN) is an initiative of the Young Ceramists and Training Working Group of the European Ceramic Society (ECerS) and is sponsored by the JECS Trust.
This non-profit network aims at bringing young students and professionals currently doing research on Ceramics.
YCN represents:
- A network for Young people conducting research on the field of Ceramics (PhD + 8 years maximum)
- For young researchers (professional, PhD but also post-doctoral or master students), belonging to European/International research institutions (universities, laboratories...)

- 4 Workshops organised in 2018 (Smolenice), 2021 (Online), 2023 (Aveiro) and 2024 (Tampere)

2027 ECerS International Ceramist Student Exchange Program – 1st call - ICACC 2027
In the frame of the 2027 ECerS International Student exchange program, ECerS is opening a call to allow grants to European Students to attend the 51st International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC 2027) to be held from 24th to 29th January 2027 in Daytona Beach, USA, as well as the IGNITE MSE (International Gathering and Networking for Individuals to Explore Materials Science and Engineering) event that will be held on Sunday 24th January 2027.
2026 ECerS International Ceramist Student Exchange Program – 5th call!
In the frame of the 2026 ECerS International Student exchange program, ECerS is opening a call to allow grants to European Students to attend the International Conference on Advances in Refractory & Ceramic Materials 2026 organized by the Indian Ceramic Society on the occasion of their 90th Annual Session that will be held from 14th to 16th December 2026 at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar, India.
