The purpose of the 2027 ECerS International Ceramist Student Exchange Program Grant awarded by ECerS with the financial support of the JECS Trust is to help 30 European students to participate in events (schools, conferences, workshops, etc.) organised by other Ceramic Societies from all around the world with whom ECerS collaborates.

This first call is dedicated to European Students wishing to attend the 51st International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC 2027) as well as the IGNITE MSE (International Gathering and Networking for Individuals to Explore Materials Science and Engineering) event that will be organized prior to ICACC 2027.

A Grant of 1.200 € will be awarded to the selected students. 50% of the support will be paid to the students before the travel and the remaining 50% will be paid after receipt of the proof of attendance and presentation given by the local event organizer.

We draw your attention on the fact that:

• The candidate to benefit from this support must be registered as a PhD student in a European Laboratory located in a member national ceramic society and should be personally a member of the society (priority – if the student is not a member, his/her supervisor must be a member).
• Applications from nationals of the country in which the conference is located will not be considered.
