BioCeramic additive manufacturing is a revolution in the personalized treatment of various pathologies, particularly in the regeneration of various anatomical parts of the human body such as dental, maxilofacial, skeletal or cranioplastic.

In the frame of the 2024 ECerS International Student exchange program, ECerS is opening a first call to allow grants to European Students to attend the 2024 IGNITE MSE and 48th ICACC conference that will be organised by the American Ceramic Society  from 28th January to 2nd February 2024 in Daytona Beach, USA.

The 2023 edition of the young Ceramists Additive Manufacturing Forum (yCAM) was organized by ECerS at Montanuniversität in Leoben, Austria, from 30th August till 1st September 2023.

It is with great sadness that we inform you that our dear friend and colleague Professor Paul Goursat died peacefully.

The 2023 ECerS Summer School “Advanced Characterization Techniques” took place from 29th to 30th June at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA Lyon) in Lyon, France prior to the XVIII ECerS Conference.

Prof. K. Byrappa (Byron), the former Vice-Chancellor of the Mangalore University and a well-known ceramicist, passed away after he suffered a stroke at the Bangalore airport in India. He was an Academician of the World Academy of Science and an active volunteer of the global ceramic community.

The 2023 XVIIIth Conference and Exhibition of the European Ceramic Society – ECerS – ended already 2 weeks ago and we would like to express our most grateful thanks to all the people that contributed to organise or participated to the huge success of this event!

The Award Ceremony of the XVIIIth ECerS Conference took place on Wednesday 5th July 2023 in Lyon, France. 

During the Council meeting that was held in Lyon, France, on 2nd July 2023, the ECerS officers were renewed or changed.

It is with great sadness that we inform you that our dear friend and colleague Professor Mike Pomeroy died peacefully on March 13th.

The JECS trust is funding an award for the best contribution to the Wiki on Ceramics Processing. 

The 2023 AIMed ECerS Winter School “Emerging antimicrobial biomaterials for orthopaedic applications” took place from 22nd to 23rd February 2023 at the Hotel Academia of Zagreb in Croatia.

In 2017 we started the young Ceramics Additive Manufacturing Forum with our first conference at Technical University Berlin.

It is our great pleasure to inform you that the call for Abstract, ending initially on 31st January, for the next ECerS conference in Lyon 2-6 July 2023 has already been a great success with about 1000 abstracts submitted!
