Debriefing from Dr. Jesus Gonzalez-Julian, Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Germany:

"My name is Jesus Gonzalez and I was awarded in 2012 by the “Frontiers of Research” program. This program gave me the opportunity to stay 6 months abroad, at Imperial College London (UK), providing me an extremely positive experience. As an early-stage researcher, it was the first time that I dealt with the writing of a full proposal, learning a lot during the process. Once there, the benefits were outstanding but I would like to highlight the most important for me: networking and mobility. I knew several people, from the department and university but also from other universities and research centers, increasing my networking and discussing a lot about several topics. Nowadays, I keep these contacts and it is so fruitful to meet them in conferences, workshops, etc. and talk about common interests. In addition, the experience to work in other laboratory is enriching. Last but not least, I had a lot of fun living in London, a multi-cultural city that never sleep! Therefore, I strongly encourage other early-stage researcher to apply to this program since the scientific and personal benefits are unbeatable".
