New Empa fellowship program for future women science leaders

Empa has launched the Women Scientific Leadership Fellowship, a new four-year program designed to support outstanding women scientists on their path towards independent research leadership.

The fellowship provides funding for the fellow’s own position as well as a doctoral student, giving researchers the opportunity to develop an independent research profile while gaining hands-on experience in leading a small research team.

Open to both internal and external candidates, the program targets researchers with a strong scientific track record and the potential to take on a future group leader position at Empa.

Applications are evaluated twice a year, in January and June.
