  • Ceramic nanopowders synthesis: Synthesis of nanopowders by precipitation method: CaF2, MgF2
  • HIP: Application of Hot Isostatic Pressing for fabrication of oxide and non-oxide ceramics (transparent ceramics – yttria, YAG, magnesium-aluminum spinel)
  • Non-oxide ceramics: Fabrication of non-oxide ceramics (i.e. SiC, Si3N4, MoSi2) using high temperature processes with controlled atmosphere
  • Ballistic ceramics: Development of ceramic shields for stationary objects and ceramic ballistic covers used as armours for tanks and combat vehicles made from silicon carbide (SiC), silicon nitride (Si3N4), aluminium oxide (Al2O3)
  • Ceramic components used in production of guided weapon and ammunition:
    - sensor covers (radomes) made from aluminium-magnesium spinel MgAl2O4.
    - viewfinders and laser materials made from aluminium-magnesium spinel MgAl2O4, pure yttriumaluminium garnet (YAG) and neodymium-doped Nd:YAG.
    - rocket nozzles made from silicon carbide SiC and molybdenum disilicide MoSi2.

  • rotating-oscillating rheometer KINEXUS by Malvern,
  • Hot Isostatic Press (HIP; Tmax = 2000°C, Pmax = 300 MPa);
  • graphite furnaces (controlled atmosphere: Ar, N2, vacuum,Tmax = 2200°C);
  • MiniCer (Netzsch);
  • clean room and glove-box with inner atmosphere equipped with hydraulic press.
