Nanoparticles and nanopowders for functional applications: Metal, metal oxide and semiconductor nanoparticles by wet chemistry methods, with controlled morphology, shape and surface chemistry, for optics, catalysis, gas sensor, solar management. Ceramic nanopowders with controlled porosity for application in catalysis and gas sensing.

- Functional and structural thin coatings via wet chemistry: Coatings obtained from sol-gel, electrochemically assisted sol-gel, nanocrystalline inks, chemical bath deposition for change of optical properties, improvement of mechanical properties, wettability, chemical functionalization, solar control.
