Research topics :

  • Research on aluminium oxynitride based materials: (i) synthesis of multi-phase oxynitride and
    nitride powders in a single-stage SHS process, (ii) consolidation of aluminium oxynitride SHSderived powders using hydrolysis-assisted solidification, (iii) pressureless, HP and SPS sintering of
    aluminium oxynitride SHS-derived powders;
  • Study on electric properties and mechanoluminescence effects of rare earth doped perowskites in
    the (Ba, Ca)(Zr, Ti)O3 system;
  • Transparent zirconia materials prepared from nanpowders;
  • Study on application of boron carbide powders for Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT): (i)
    synthesis of boron-rich boron carbide nanopowders, (ii) functionalization of surface of boron
    carbide nanoparticles, (iii) research on biological response of boron carbide nano-particles;
  • Research on shaping the phase composition and microstructure of composites in the aluminazirconia system obtained in by sintering of zirconia solid-solution powders with different chemical
    compositions;

  • Development of High Entropy Ceramics fabrication and properties determination
  • Study on synergy effects in CMC composites
  • Development of ceramifiable composites with polymeric matrices

  • Study on the preparation and properties of the garnet materials containing rare earth elements.
    Research on reaction sintering using an effect of heterogeneous nucleation and application of
    powders with specific morphology including core-shell nanopowders.
