I am Jeffery C.H. Chen, and I earned my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 2019. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering at National Ilan University, as well as the Principal Investigator of the Advanced Membranes and Porous Materials (AMPM) Laboratory.

My research background includes extensive work on the preparation techniques of Ceramic Hollow Fiber Membranes and their applications in gas separation, solvent purification, and water treatment. After completing my Ph.D., I joined the High Speed 3D Printing Research Center at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, contributing to the development of ceramic 3D printing technology in Taiwan. In 2019, I became a part of National Ilan University, where I established the AMPM Laboratory, pioneering the technology for 3D printing ceramic membranes. My current research focuses on the following areas:

1. Inorganic Membranes (preparation techniques and applications in water treatment)
2. Photopolymerization-Based 3D Printing (for manufacturing ceramic, metal, catalysts, or composite parts)
3. Nanoporous Materials and Catalysts (such as Zeolites, Metal-Organic Frameworks, etc.)
4. Process Intensification (including reactor design, advanced membranes, and advanced membrane reactors)

I am deeply grateful and honored to be selected as the YCN Representative of Taiwan. I will actively fulfill the responsibilities of this role, assisting young researchers and students in Taiwan's ceramics field to join the YCN network. I also look forward to sharing our findings and experiences in 3D printing ceramic technology and applications, and collaborating with others to advance global research and development in ceramics.

ACerS is offering travelling grants of 1.500 $ to attend the two 2024 ECerS Summer Schools

The grants can be allowed to undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. students from non-European based universities. The 2024 ECerS Summer Schools will be held prior to Electroceramics XIX (Vilnius, Lithuania - School: 17-18 August 2024)  and Shaping 9 (Warsaw, Poland - School: 24-25 September 2024)!

2024 ECerS International Ceramist Student Exchange Program – 3rd call!

In the frame of the 2024 ECerS International Student exchange program, ECerS is opening a third call, this time to allow grants to European Students to attend the 2024 Fall meeting of Korean Ceramic Society (COEX) that will be organised by the Korean Ceramic Society in Seoul, Korea, from 16th to 18th October 2024.
