3D Printing everywhere… that’s my mantra.

Just PhD in 3D printing of ceramics for biomedical applications, my thesis was about how to succeed all your printing and how to better define the “printability”. I have made my PhD in the laboratory MATEIS at INSA de Lyon (France) but thanks to the JECS grant, I was lucky to have been a visiting student at the laboratory CASC at Imperial College London for 5 months in 2021. I have a background in biomaterials and health engineering and I’m very passionate about the relationship between 3d printing and medical. That’s why I recently have joined a startup called BONE 3D based in Paris as chief of research and development projects in additive manufacturing for surgeons or development of new biomaterials.

Next to my “Science” career, I have created my own enterprise called “Bien Dans Ma Thèse” (BDMT) which promote the doctorate degree and try to give more information about this wonderful experience and how to feel “well” in our thesis. As you know, a good mental health during a phd is very important and have to be promoted. That’s why I have launched several podcasts (in French for now sorry) where I’m talking with phd students in all scientific area about what they are doing, why doing a phd, how chose the right phd… I’m also passionate about entrepreneurship and networking between academic and industry. Since the beginning of my PhD, I was lucky to meet the YCN committee (and have my best conferences with all of them) and know thanks to all my work with BDMT, that a networking like the YCN is rare in the academic field. According to me, the YCN work is so important so feel better in our thesis, to grow our professional (and personal) network and become a better scientist. I’m very enthusiast (and proud) to become the French representant of the YCN committee and hope to meet all of you in conferences with a lot of beers
