EDI Webinar 2 - Biography of Astri Bjørnetun Haugen
Astri Bjørnetun Haugen
Associate Professor in the Department of Energy Storage & Conversion at the Technical University of Denmark
Title of the talk: Additive manufacturing of textured piezoelectric ceramics
Astri Bjørnetun Haugen is a material scientist, born and educated in Norway (PhD in Materials Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology) and currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Energy Storage & Conversion at the Technical University of Denmark. Her research focuses on understanding and improving lead-free piezoelectric and energy storage materials utilizing diverse synthesis and shaping methods (e.g. spray pyrolysis, hydrothermal, extrusion, tape casting, direct ink writing, vat photopolymerization), especially focusing on crystallographic texture and porosity. Her research addresses both microstructure-property correlations in these materials, as well as their end-use in devices
