The ECerS Refractory Network was founded in 2024 by ECerS, the European Ceramic Society, with the support of FIRE, the Federation for International Refractory Research and Education
Missions
- bring together academics, industrial researchers, young scientists and students working in the field of refractory materials.
- create a European community where members can exchange knowledge, share innovative research, and foster opportunities for the next generation of refractory scientists.

2027 ECerS International Ceramist Student Exchange Program – 1st call - ICACC 2027
In the frame of the 2027 ECerS International Student exchange program, ECerS is opening a call to allow grants to European Students to attend the 51st International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC 2027) to be held from 24th to 29th January 2027 in Daytona Beach, USA, as well as the IGNITE MSE (International Gathering and Networking for Individuals to Explore Materials Science and Engineering) event that will be held on Sunday 24th January 2027.
