YCN Newsletter 15 : Happy holidays and reflection

Dear friends and colleagues,

The year of 2022 has been unique in many aspects. We came back to meeting in-person and met with many of you at the Student’s Evening in Krakow and during other conferences, such as Shaping8 or yCAM, we experienced an extensive growth, announced several new substantial projects to make the YCN even better: YCN Representatives and YCN Discord and we gained a new committee member, Awais Qadir.

In our Research and Industry in Spot series, contributions of 16  young ceramists were published, including our special issue on Women in Ceramics.

19 contributions were submitted for the 2022 YCN Photo Contest, 4 of them were awarded with a prize. 4 Webinars were organized, involving the participation of 3 YCN representatives : Else Ellermann from UK; Salim Brahimi from Algeria and Yigithan Tufan from Turkey.

We are thrilled with the success that the Young Ceramists Network has experienced during 2022 and we would like to thank all of you for taking part in that. With this, we would like to wish you happy holidays and even better new year.

Cheers!
