yCAM is a symposium and a forum on Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics dedicated to young scientists and it is an initiative of Europe Makes Ceramics (EMC), the Additive Manufacturing network of ECerS. yCAM is a place for open discussion, combining high-quality scientific presentations with fresh and informal discussion at all levels, from learning the basics of new technologies to sharing practical experiences.
yCAM focuses on contributions about AM of ceramics and all connected regions of research, in detail:
● Material Jetting
● Vat Photopolymerization
● Material Extrusion
● Emerging, hybrid, and multi-material technologies
● Applications, comprehending dental and medical applications, energy storage and transformation, space
● Analysis, as in research activity focused on mechanical testing, powder and slurry analysis
● Technology, grouping pre- and post-processing techniques, toolpath optimization, online monitoring and digitalization
To facilitate the participation of young researchers, 20 travel grants of 500 € were sponsored by the JECS Trust. Priority was given to oral presentations and the abstract evaluation. The yCAM was supported by the University of Tampere and 5 industrial sponsors (3DCeram, American Elements, Hummink, Lithoz, Planmeca).
For the third consecutive year Lithoz sponsored the best presentation and poster award offering two slots at the AM Ceramics conference in 2024: traveling, accommodation and registration fees included:
