03/25 - SFS Webinar
This webinar organised by the International Alliance of Societies for a Sustainable Future (SFS) will be presented by Konrad Ott, philosopher and environmental ethics expert.
The lecture provides an overview of a theoretical concept of sustainability. It deals with intellectual history of sustainability, reflects upon the ethical suppositions, offers a reasonable choice between competing concepts (weak, intermediate, strong), and outlines rules, indicators and scales. It asks how un-sustainable practices might be identified. Finally, the role of technologies within sustainable development are addressed.
