96 PhD Positions Open at Politecnico di Torino

The Call for applications provides information on the PhD programmes, positions and scholarships available for the upcoming PhD cycle. The Call also explains how to take part in the selection process and the mandatory deadlines.

After reading the Call for Applications for admissions to the PhD programmes of the 41st cycle, please submit your application from the Apply@polito platform.

The Call for applications is divided into separate sessions. Applicants who accept an offer of admission for a position in a specific session cannot take part in the next sessions.

Positions and scholarships
Available positions are divided into:

Ordinary positionsfully-funded PhD positions with own research topic; 

  • fully-funded PhD positions with predefined research topic; 
  • PhD positions offered in apprenticeship format;
  • PhD positions without scholarship.

Reserved positionsPhD positions reserved to students who receive a scholarship funded by governments or by national or foreign public bodies, who are eligible to be admitted to a PhD programme;

  • PhD positions reserved to Research Fellows;
  • PhD positions in the framework of the PoliTo for Refugees Project.

Some positions are reserved to candidates selected by special Boards within the framework of specific international programmes in which Politecnico di Torino is involved.

Next JECS Trust Call for projects: IMPORTANT CHANGES

We draw your attention on the following decisions from the JECS Trust Board:

  • The deadline for submission of Mobility only projects of 31st August 2026 is cancelled
  • The deadline for submission of Mobility and General Activity projects of 31st May is postponed to 30th June 2026
  • Only students members of ECerS can apply for Mobility projects
