  • Mechanical properties of glass and advanced ceramics: indentation fracture mechanics, fatigue behaviour of glass, design of brittle materials insensitive to surface defects, strengthening of glass by ion-exchange, production of ceramic laminates.
  • Materials and processes for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC): production of planar and tubular SOFC by colloidal processes (tape casting, extrusion, screen printing).
  • Electric field assisted sintering of ceramics: FAST and FLASH sintering, SPS.
  • Bioceramics:  production  and  in-vitro  characterization  of  bioceramics  (HA,  TCP), synthesis of CaP nanopowders
